I tried using the Arduino Uno on Windows 10 and it is working fine without the USB Host Shield plugged in. Sometimes I recieve this error when I remove the USB Host Shield, avrdude: stk500_disable0: protocol error. I recieve this error avrdude: stk500_recv programmer is not responding and then the upload fails. I am using an Arduino Uno with a USB Host Shield.
